Yes, Silc® packaging is made from recycled materials. Our lovely pouches are 100% organic cotton and biodegradable, and our pillowcase boxes are made from recycled paper. We also use FSC certified recycled paper boxes for shipping, along with recycled and biodegradable paper tape. As a small business, we're committed to minimizing our environmental impact and constantly looking for ways to improve our sustainability practices. Yes, we use non-toxic dyes. We work closely with our suppliers to meet the international Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, which is one of the world's most stringent labels for textiles tested for harmful substances.

All of our Silc® hair clips are made of cellulose acetate, a 100% natural and eco-friendly material derived from natural cotton and wood pulp fibers. Unlike plastic accessories, acetate is non-petroleum based and offers excellent durability, flexibility, and smoothness. The material also molds itself to the shape of your head, preventing the headaches that can sometimes come with wearing plastic clips.

Please note that while cellulose acetate is water-resistant, prolonged immersion in water can cause damage to the material.

Our pillowcases are currently available in two sizes: 50x70cm (standard) and 65x65cm (square). Although we strive to meet everyone's needs, these sizes are the most popular in Switzerland. If you require a different size, please don't hesitate to contact us and let us know.
